SPIRIT OF SAMURAI 2014 -Tradition, Soul & History
The Kansai Japan-Finland Society, Japan Airlines, City of Helsinki, the Finnish Equestrian Federation and the Embassy of Japan, Helsinki, are jointly organising a remarkable event called “Spirit of Samurai 2014”. A distinguished delegation of representatives from the Kansai Japan-Finland Society, celebrating its 35th anniversary; Ogasawara School; Urasenke Tea School and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shinto Shrine are coming to Finland for this unique occasion.
The events begin on Friday 11 April at the Finnish National Museum with the “Spirit of Budo” exhibition. On Saturday 31 May, an ŌMATOSHIKI archery ceremony and the “Chadō – Way of Tea” tea art event will take place in Suomenlinna.
The events culminate on Sunday 1 June at 13:00 and 18:00 at Laakso Hippodrome, with two ceremonies of Yabusame, samurai horseback archery.
Companies and associations have the possibility to support Spirit of Samurai 2014 by bringing their key customers and VIP stakeholders to the event.
